Therapeutic Massage Testimonials

Have recently started my treatment plan. I’m so impressed with the care and professionalism of the doctors and staff. I have been to countless doctors and traveled to some of the most prominent and respected hospitals, throughout my journey to wellness. This is the first place that is actually working a plan to FIX the problems, not just treat the pain with medication.

Trigger Points

Most often, the trouble areas a patient has are knots found in the muscles called trigger points. Trigger points can be caused by the following:

  • Previous injury to the area
  • Collision trauma (auto accidents, etc.)
  • High stress levels
  • Disease
  • Health issues (smoking, etc.)
  • Muscles being incorrectly used
  • Imbalance of bodily function
  • Repetitive motions
  • Activation of other trigger points within the body

A Common Cause

Trigger points can cause a sharp, stabbing pain or long term muscular aching and can send a tingling sensation or numbness to broader sections of your body. Sometimes, this “referred” pain or discomfort can lead to misdiagnosis and treatment for an incorrect condition. For example: A trigger point that is located around your shoulder blades could actually cause severe pain in your neck.

Trigger points can also be a common cause of joint pain, and are known to cause:

  • Headaches and migraines
  • Neck pain
  • Jaw pain
  • Mid/low back pain
  • Tennis elbow
  • Carpal tunnel syndrome
